Title: Red Tent Leaf buttons
Post by: robgest on February 20, 2011, 10:36:29 pm
OK, I want to replace all the buttons on my red tent with new leaf buttons. Question is.... so many colors on the thing, but not a lot of choices to pick from now. Who has the most colors to choose from? I NEED A LINK.

Nintendo mostly used microswitches, not leafs.

It's hard to find the original ones.

Mylstar has original used and NOS buttons here:

And, mikesarcade.com has repro buttons (not all colors):

Nintendo used standard plastic buttons that hit a microswitch. Other companies, like Midway, etc., used standard plastic buttons that hit a pair of metal pieces that closed the circuit. Kind of like this:

The Suzo-Happ Group also sells butons with the microswitches! Just an FYI.
