Title: Best repair practices
Post by: godfather on February 09, 2018, 10:44:46 am
I am hoping to get some insight as to how to go about "bullet proofing" my original ms. pac-man, donkey kong, pac-man machines. It seems once i repair something something else gets broken.

I really want to get them fixed so they need very minimal maintenance.
Any suggestions?

Thanks,
- Michael

Well, typical "bullet proof" mods for Pac-Mans are repinning the edge connector, replacing the fuse holders, rebuilding the power supplies on the PCBs, and capping the monitors. Do you need to do all of that? Probably not.

For Nintendo cabs, typically you just have to cap the Sanyos. The original PSUs are typically pretty reliable.
