Title: vs goonies monitor repair Post by: masterchief217 on July 09, 2017, 02:13:51 am so I have a vs goonies machine and the colors are all tinted purple (I asume that can be fixed with a cap kit) and the picture gets biger and smaller randomly and often, now I am not sure what would fix the second part, should I just do a cap kit, is the hot bad, is it the b+ voltage, or would the flyback be the culprate, this would be my first crt repaire but I have replaced all the caps on a lcd computer monitor which fixed it. Thanks so much in advance for the help

Just use the 100 UF cap: http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=106200.0 Title: Re: vs goonies monitor repair Post by: masterchief217 on July 24, 2017, 06:32:27 pm so I recaped it last night and adjusted the b+, I got it to about 108.2 and it worked, I made a trip to frys and bought the cap that i saw in it originaly because I was unsure about the cap kit. the game worked but I wanted to replace the batteries so I took out the board and replaced them then I put the board back and got a solid green screen, looked online and saw that this is often caused by improperly seated daughter boards so I took it out and reseated it but now when I put it back I get a black screen and I am not sure what to do
