Title: Centuri coon door
Post by: Low_crawl on September 19, 2016, 09:14:54 am
Can anyone give some details on how to do the raised "Centuri" logo? John did one on his Gyruss and it really pops, but he skipped that part in the video. Is it bare metal or painted? How is it done?

Paint the logo black, then sand the high spots down to metal after it dries. You'll have a nice silver logo when you're done.

This is my coin door https://www.flickr.com/photos/arcadeoutsiders/28455384693 and i did it the was john described, except i used single edged razor blade to remove most of the paint on the letters. but this has come to my attention recently http://guscade.blogspot.com/2012/10/gottliebs-qbert-1982.html http://guscade.blogspot.com/2012/10/gottliebs-qbert-1982.html

this appears to be the way that the doors shipped from the factory, because that guys qbert looks 100% untouched and in great shape. i may be rethinking my finish
