Title: DK PCB MYSTERY
Post by: Motaliano on August 20, 2013, 01:36:37 pm
Hello All,

I just picked up another DK cab and am a bit confused with the PCB.  It plays fine but the second screen (after the barrel screen) is the Pie factory and not the rivet stage :o.  The PCB is the two board set-up and has all the nintendo markings like it should.  Do I have some type of bootleg or hack?  Really confused on this one as I cannot find any mention of this phenomenon on KLOV or the internet.  Any help with this mystery would be greatly appreciated.

It has the Jap roms - if you can burn eeproms or know someone who can, you can change it to the US set.

Virtvic,

Thanks for the help....I did some research after you answered my question and verified what I have.  I must admit the Jap. version is good for my ego (a bit easier) and I like the fact that I can enter my entire name in to the high score table.  I wonder if the high score save kit would work???

You'd have to ask Scott Brassington (maker of the hi score kits) - but I guess it would work, and it may turn your game into the US version?

+1 - sounds like the Japanese version.

Stephen at hobbyroms.com can burn you a new set of roms.
