Title: Hello from Heber Utah
Post by: JerTM on June 02, 2016, 09:41:59 am
Just bought my first arcade cabinet locally.  I am a tinkerer so I am sure I will end up getting it all tuned up and looking good.  It's an 1987 Heavy Barrel by Data East.  Currently looking to figure out how to credit up without using coins.  ???

welcome to the madness. I really like playing Heavy Barrel myself but haven't had the chance to get one

welcome from just north of you.

BTW: you can wire any switch to the coin mech switch and locate anywhere to coin up and you may have a setting for free play on the pcb or on screen.

Looks like the game doesn't have freeplay:

you can order one of Adam's coin up devices for $20. They work great -- I used to have one in my Discs of Tron:
