Title: im new to this k7000 arcing
Post by: oscar-hernandez1983 on March 12, 2016, 07:19:50 pm
I recently bought a cabinet, I believe it's a mortal kombat cab with tekken tag tournament. I bought it as as is got home and looked for ripped wires before juicing it up I didn't want to get zapped. So everything looked good except the power cord it had been tapped and the ground prone was broke off. So I went and plug it up, picture it's a big blur I have the colors adjusted bam red is out. Wtf so I assumed one of the transistors is out OK I can deal without the red till I go to the city to buy me a nice set of tools to fix this so first thing I would fix the power cord. So I got a nice new cord with all prongs hooked it up I heard a hizzing coming with a nice little arc. My question is could it be the flyback almost out or something else. I haven't messed with it ever since.

well you would have to try to figure out where the arcing and hissing sound is coming from but the k7000 flyback is a likely suspect.

on the k7000 it isnt too hard to replace them. The k7000 isnt that hard to work on in general.

Awesome I'd be buying some cap kits from you guys soon.weather it's starting to get good here in Georgia so I have so many projects to do around the house before I get into doing anything to my arcades. A happy wife happy life. I have to get me a nice set of tools too.
