It's been my dream for many years to have my own home arcade and am now starting to realize that dream with my family. I started out with some pinball machines last year (Iron Man and Pirates of the Carribean) and just picked up my first two standup cabinets last weekend (Ms. Pac-Man and Jr. Pac-Man field kit conversion in a Pac-Man cabinet). While in decent shape I'm already working on stripping down the pieces to restore. I have great memories of growing up in a local arcade called Star World and in a world of console games, cell phones and tablets, I want to pass similar memories on to my children of real, original gaming. Hey did you find that Jr Pacman on Craigslist? I was looking at that. I'm in the Detroit area but I always check on Craigslist in the Kalamazoo area too. That's a game that is not on my list of must haves but when I saw it on Craigslist it caught my eye just because it was interesting. Sounds like it went to a good home. I actually was up in Lansing last weekend visiting my brother-in-law and went to his new business location and there they were, buried and sitting in the back of the garage. I immediately asked him send a text to the building's owner and he said he had sat on them for 9 years hoping to get to them as a project someday and never did so he offloaded it what I considered a steal of a price.
