Title: Williams Defender Problem
Post by: Depeche on February 22, 2016, 09:41:16 pm
Hello,

Not the best first post and straight to the point... I didn't "measure twice and cut once" when making my 4116 to 4164 adapter and I jumped the pins on the power supply side and pumped +12V through pin 7 to the 4164 ram chips and whatever else pin 7 supplies.  So knowing what was screwed up, what did I fry besides the Ram and possibly the +5V power supply circuit as the +5 LED is no longer lit?

... putting on my flamesuit now  :'(

depends on how long you left it on.

i would be surprised if you didn't short out most of the board.
