Title: VGA to JAMMA Post by: kingdbag on October 03, 2015, 11:20:30 am I want to create a test area in my basement to connect JAMMA boards to an LCD monitor I normally use for my PC on my work bench. Is there an adapter or something I can buy/make that I can just unplug the VGA cable from my PC and plug it into something that connects to a JAMMA harness that I can connect right to a board I want to test? I need something where I can easily unplug it back and forth so I can still use it on my PC when I'm done.

nvm looks like I can maybe connect a BNC connection to it and it has enough wires on it to connect to JAMMA... I'll have to research some more... hopefully I don't kill myself. :P Title: Re: VGA to JAMMA Post by: KennyL on October 04, 2015, 05:59:32 pm Check the image feed on the main forum page. There's a great image that shows the most easy way to hook up RGB sync to a PVM. BNC connectors with wire terminals. That will work better for a test bed than using a VGA computer monitor adapter.
Title: Re: VGA to JAMMA Post by: kingdbag on October 21, 2015, 07:00:04 pm I've been slumming eBay for a PVM and they range anywhere from $50-$300... Are there any that I should totally stay away from or any PVM is fine for the most part? I am thinking about getting a PVM-8041Q or 8042Q and just want to make sure they aren't total garbage.

Here is mine connected to Frogger for troubleshooting http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showpost.php?p=3160312&postcount=24 Title: Re: VGA to JAMMA Post by: kingdbag on October 24, 2015, 07:28:48 am Awesome... thanks!
