Title: Olympus branded Sony PVM, buying advice. Post by: KennyL on September 14, 2015, 04:33:06 am I've been watching an Olympus OEV143 monitor on eBay for a while now. Sold as is for parts/repair. It appears that the screen is stretched out horizontally and he says it can't be adjusted out in the listing. There's a picture of the on screen menus in the listing as well, and you can see what the picture is doing.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/321406268001 I asked Ian about a cap kit, and I haven't been able to find a manual on this exact model that's free and I'm hesitant about paying one of those online places that sells PDF manuals. Physical manuals seem to be non-existent. This is a 14", 13.x" viewable, medical grade professional video monitor. Made by Sony, for Olympus and sold as a video endoscopy monitor. Internally, it's the exact same as a Sony medical grade PVM so a manual for one of those models might cross-reference. I figure the easiest thing to do would be to acquire it for cheap and make a cap list. The breakdown: He has this listed at $14.55 buy it now, or best offer. I offered $5 for shits and giggles, figuring it would be declined. He counters with $13, so I suppose that's the minimum that he wants to take or at least close to it. Shipping to me is $30.44 as these things are notoriously heavy for their size, making the grand total at the current offer $43.44. Normally, a PVM this size would come close to $100, so would this be a fair shot at recapping? Title: Re: Olympus branded Sony PVM, buying advice. They have the "Phase" knob adjusted full up.
