Title: reading and understanding wiring diagrams? Post by: theyangman on July 01, 2015, 10:38:04 pm (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v76/sweetboyee/2015-07-01%2022.53.28_1.jpg)
So from what I have gathered, my latest cabinet (which is a point blank) doesn't have the test or service buttons wired up. The molex connector from the board is clearly marked "J19" luckily and the colors 100% correspond with the color schematic as per the pins and respective colors. Here is where my questions come in though. 1. The colors coming out of the connector are not correct. This I chalk up to someone having a spare connector and just reused it. No biggie I guess right? 2. I've never had to wire up a switch from scratch like this before. So since the colors dont match coming out of the connector, i assume i just follow pins 5 and 8 (white and blue) and just run off those? 3. For a test and service button I suppose I could just use any momentary switch right? Now, can I use the ground wire in pin 1? And just daisy chain it to both the switches? Sorry if this seems basic, but I'm pretty new to fixing or repairing machines. I've replaced parts before to get others running but those were mainly plug and play with the dead parts.
