ok I need some help so far I have replaced the k5 rom the m5 rom and the k7 rom still getting the k5 4 beep error please help me Ian your my only hope :)

but the damn parts will kill ya.

Ive already got one coming for 80 shipped my guess is you're probably friends with that guy being as how he tried the same scare tactics on me and failed

there are a few things that could be going on with your board. K5 is the very first ram chip to be tested. if there isn't anything you can do by swapping ram chips around to change the K5 error then its something going on with the whole ram address or data chain to those ram chips.

that is what scares me ian would it be wise to just replace all the ram? ive got a good working board on the way i figure ill fix this one in my spare time

I kind of doubt all of the ram is bad. Like I said. If there is no combination that you can swap the ram that is already in the board then you have a much more involved solution. If you have a logic probe I might be able to help.

I don't sell them because they cost a ton and many other places have them for cheaper than I could sell them at.

I do not have a logic probe im not real sure how to use one either im sure I could learn on google this is my first arcade so im learning as I go I did fix the monitor with a cap kit which ive never done before so i feel like i can accomplish anything now lol

can you point me in the direction of a place to get a big blue other than bob roberts?
perferably a site that uses paypal i checked twistywrist and i dont think they sell them

I don't know him, I bought 2 centipede boards from bstguy though.
I paid 90 a piece.
ended up getting stuck with 5 centipede boards so earlier this year this was posted here on these forums and it sold.

It be wise to just buy a known working board .
Even if you fix that ram bullshit, who is to say that those buffers for the trackball aren't bad?

I did i have the working board on the way a guy on KLOV sold me on for 80 shipped ill be out of town his weekend but so i should get it like wednesday or thursday next week
then i need to replace the resistor that caught fire on the ARII
