Title: Capcom Street Fighter II rom questions
Post by: Aameiel on March 19, 2013, 04:17:15 pm

Hi all hoping someone can help with a question last night i won a Street Fighter II  pcb for 20 dollars on a auction . Here is the message that seller gave me.

Quote
This board is NOT working.  It is missing ROMs.  It powers up to a yellow screen.

I dumped one of the MB834200B ROMs (can be replaced with 27C400s) and
WinROMIdent found it in MAME as "The World Warrior".  I am selling the board "as-is" and
do not wish to keep or repair it.  These boards are usually an easy fix for those experienced with them.

I like to tinker with stuff so i figured why not for that price. Question i have is, What is needed to get her running again ? Can i just buy the chips and install them or do i need to buy blank chips and flash em ? Here is a picture of the PCB

I am a super noob when it comes to this kinda thing so any and all help would be awesome thank you for viewing my thread :)

Yeah, I guess the first thing to do would be to get the roms back on there. Assuming the guys is right, you'll need to burn a set of World Warrior Roms.
