Title: Connecting Marquee power cord directly to power supply (newer switching type) Post by: bfrosty on February 21, 2015, 12:04:19 am Is this possible?
One line to AC and the other to FG? Title: Re: Connecting Marquee power cord directly to power supply (newer switching type) Post by: John's Arcade on February 21, 2015, 10:30:28 am Is this possible? One line to AC and the other to FG? Well, you're not connecting it TO the power supply, you'd be connecting it AT the power supply where the AC is coming in. You can figure out how the AC is getting to the switching power supply and tap in before it gets to the supply. Connect to AC only (line and neutral, Black and White), NOT FG (ground). Tap in on the two AC wires. Title: Re: Connecting Marquee power cord directly to power supply (newer switching type) Post by: bfrosty on February 21, 2015, 03:28:01 pm Sorry John -
Was half-asleep when I typed that...sorry I wasn't more specific...but yes, what you said is what I meant to type. =)) Okay, so one wire to one AC screw...and the other to the other AC screw on the power supply? Yes that is the ac feed to the psu, you can rob power from there.
I would recommend crimping some connectors on all those wires! Title: Re: Connecting Marquee power cord directly to power supply (newer switching type) Post by: bfrosty on March 01, 2015, 08:30:39 pm Thanks....got it too work today.
Yes, I probably need to clean up those wires....just wanted to get everything in working order first. Thanks again. MK |
