Title: Got me some Tapper PCBs! Post by: ExitWound on February 15, 2015, 08:25:20 pm Picked up some 'mostly' working PCBs today, along with a mostly spare set of boards (2 of 3) with Spy Hunter, more Tapper, and Tron ROMs! Now...to find the rest of the machine....
Why is the linear power supply so expensive online? Title: Re: Got me some Tapper PCBs! Post by: VertexGuy on February 15, 2015, 11:26:46 pm I have two spare , run over here and ill give you one.

If your MCR power supply is working, I wouldn't touch it. Title: Re: Got me some Tapper PCBs! I don't have a power supply yet! :-P I'm scavenging for parts. Have anything extra you want to sell for a Tapper? Title: Re: Got me some Tapper PCBs! Post by: ExitWound on February 22, 2015, 01:42:44 pm um........ good question. From another thread, this cabinet guide is amazing:anybody? http://www.coinopspace.com/m/group/discussion?id=2467396%3ATopic%3A143978 Looks like I can get away with a Tapper, Root Beer Tapper or Timber. Title: Re: Got me some Tapper PCBs! Post by: ExitWound on February 22, 2015, 05:10:40 pm I have an ATX power supply from a computer that I'm not using. Since Midway games don't use -5V, this should work just fine for Tapper, correct? I found an ATX->Midway converter at Cambridge Arcade but I'm not sure if he's actually still selling parts.
http://cambridgearcade.dyndns.org/?q=node/57 Without this part, what's the best way to use the ATX power supply in building the Tapper? Thoughts? |
