Title: Has John decided what project to do with Ben Heck? Post by: MagicMarc-er on February 07, 2015, 10:09:42 am I'm one episode behind on the show so this may have been covered but, has John decided what to project to do when he teams up with Ben Heck yet? As I was listening on the previous episode, I kept thinking that it would be cool if they could do something monumental that would help everyone with restorations. My idea, which I admit may be totally impossible, is a universal monitor chassis.
Seems like my restoration process always goes something like this: Get the game running, notice that the monitor looks like crap, do a cap kit, get everything adjusted, marvel at how great the monitor looks, wait 2 hours, blow something on the newly capped chassis, spend hours trying to figure out what blew..... you've been there, you know what I mean. I think it would be awesome if someone could design a chassis that would work with most of the common monitors and be bullet-proof. Any other ideas? He hasn't really responded to me about some of the ideas I have sent so far.
We just really need to keep the scope of the project very simple. I think a universal monitor chassis is way too ambitious. Hopefully we actually do this. I'm talking to him now. It would have to be done on a per game basis, a lot of manual work there.
