Title: Rebuilding a Popeye and Mario Bros Post by: VectorAlpha on January 26, 2015, 01:38:26 am Am rebuilding a Popeye and Mario Bros
I recently got a "Popeye" with a Mario Bros Serial plate on the back and also notice it has vertical monitor holes in the side as if maybe it was also a DK? Any way its a mess. It has a switcher power supply in it and I was wondering is it worth it to put back an original Nintendo power supply? What should I look for on Nintendo power supplies for Popeye and Mario Bros? I will be making a Cab for Mario Bros (would love to make a widebody it I can get some measurements-profile -please) I work with metal so I should be able to make a widebody control panel if I cant find one.. I want to really restore the Popeye to original parts if I can. I need to get pics of the board connects and power connects. I fear this is a hack operator mod. thank you Curtis Title: Re: Rebuilding a Popeye and Mario Bros Post by: VectorAlpha on April 04, 2015, 11:00:21 pm Really no one has measurements or a widebody mario they can measure?
I don't understand why ? Title: Re: Rebuilding a Popeye and Mario Bros Post by: arcadefan1985 on April 05, 2015, 09:16:14 pm Vertical monitor mounts only used the upper holes to the back for the cross bar.
Horizontal monitors used angle brackets on both sides. If you need any pics let me know. I think they are also shown in the manuals. I think they put all the holes in all the cabs. For my donkey kong cabinet i used the plans on jakobud.com, they are not 100 % accurate. Here it is the link for mario bros widebody: http://jakobud.com/plan.php?id=17 |
