Not that it's a bible, but nothing else exists in THE WORLD concerning the price of the arcade games... Maybe expand it to include the price of game PCB's too? Just saying! Keep up the good work! :)

Not that it's a bible, but nothing else exists in THE WORLD concerning the price of the arcade games... The Encyclopedia of Arcade Video Games (Schiffer Book for Collectors) Hardcover – August 30, 2003 http://www.amazon.com/Encyclopedia-Arcade-Video-Schiffer-Collectors/dp/0764319256 The pricing data is out-of-date, but then again, so is eXidy's. ;) I think this is an awesome coffee table book, though, and well worth the purchase price for collectors simply to have a nice hardcover with color photos of tons of golden era games, including many that are quite rare today. Amazon reviewers bitched about the photo quality but most of the photos are perfectly acceptable quality. Even by the early 2000s many of the games covered were pretty rare. Besides, it's funny to read the estimated game values from 12 years ago. I'll take a Super Punch-Out!! for $150 any day. ;D To be fair, eXidy's price guide isn't as out-of-date as this book, but it could use some updating. Actual sale prices aren't always easy to get, though, so I'm sympathetic. |
