Title: Hello from Owasso, Oklahoma Post by: Shipwreck on January 07, 2015, 08:33:32 pm I listened to the AO podcast and really enjoyed it. I have been a weekly listener now and have wondered over to the forum.
I have enjoyed arcades as a kid. It was always so exciting to insert your quarter and play a game in a dark room with all the lights and sounds coming from the many machines. If you were good at a game, you would have a crowd of other kids watching you giving you a taste of what it might be like to be a rock star. Being much older now, I have started to collect games and fixing them up to like new. My first game is a Gorf Cocktail, that I bought for $50 on craigslist. It had a scrambled screen when powered on and the cab was roughed up a bit. I pulled the board stack and cleaned and reseated each board and started working perfectly. It will be great to chat with other people about games and their repair/restoration.
