I have a monitor that i believe to be from a popeye cocktail
I tried testing it in my stand up but it wouldnt power up.
does anyone know if it runds at a different voltage than the
stand ups? thanks

I've heard the guys on this forum say that the Nintendo stuff is 100 volt and not 120 volt. Wouldn't hook it up to 120.

The sharp and sanyo monitors nintendo used have an ungrounded power plug that looks like it could plug into mains. But, DON"T DO IT. Those monitors require a 1.1:1 isolation transformer that changes 120v to 100v. Plugging it in directly to 120v is a great way to shock yourself and fry the monitor...

Got it. Yeah I just wanted to make sure the popeye cocktail monitor didn't require a diff voltage. Thanks for the info
