Post by: loveisafist on October 28, 2014, 07:34:37 pm
Hi Folks,
I am looking to get a monitor chassis for a Mrs Pac Man, I heard it's a geo-4 (G04?) i'm not sure how it's spelled.
Any help is appreciated.

You sure it's not an electrohome G07? Also, why do you need a new chassis? Most people fix them since they're easy to repair. Is yours missing?

No I have it, I'm just not familiar with fixing it.

Watch my Journey video where I rebuilt a G07. Not hard! Can you solder?

Really...it's not hard. My soldering skills and electronics knowledge was extremely limited.  If I (a special education teacher) can do it...you can too. With the resources on here and the net we can all help you get it going.

But it is most likely a GO7.

Mrs. Pacman (full sized cabinets) came with one of two monitors. Electrohome G07 (as already mentioned) or a Wells Gardner 4600. My Mrs Pacman has a Wells Gardner 4900 so I'm pretty sure that you can swap in one of those if you had to.

These guys are right not too hard to do yourself. I've been picking away at mine for months now but if you've got some time on hand I can see how you could get this done rather quickly.

I can solder, I just need to re-acquire the tools I guess. I will have to look up that video again to see what its going to take (16 parts in so i will dig :D).
I called a place and they wanted 200 parts and labor but that sounded excessive.
Thanks for the help guys :)
