Title: Does the K4900 series monitors use an isolation transformer
Post by: jjohnston2004 on September 27, 2014, 06:54:34 pm
Hello all,

I picked up a Moon Patrol conversion cab running a jamma board (Dj Boy). I noticed the cabinet currently has an isolation transformer that it seems to be not wired to use. If anyone has experience with the K4900 series monitors, do you know if it needs to run through an isolation transformer?

Thanks,
Jj

Here's a link that someone else gave me. It's a WG 4900 manual.

My WG K4900 does require an isolation transformer (even labeled so on the power cord to it).   You could ruin the monitor if it doesnt have isolation.

thanks everyone -- after looking at the existing isolation transformer it looked like it burned out and the previous owner decided to bypass it rather than buying a new one and doing it the right way.

Amazing!

Thanks Again
