Title: What size resistor for in line discharging Post by: Doc Hollywood on September 25, 2014, 03:53:31 pm I've did a bit of digging but unsure if I am looking in the right place or not. I am attempting to put a in line resistor in my CRT discharging tool. Any ideas on the type or size? Thanks guys, Doc

From what I've read, 1 mega ohm (3-5 watt) is the ideal resistance. I think it would be a standard axial style, but I'll let someone more knowledgable confirm.

Ill be sure to hit I a few times before proceeding. What also sucks is I'm dealing with a flat lay down monitor on this particular one with a mirror so the anode cup and most adjustment are in a horrible spot and very difficult to get too. A perfect monitor for a first timer lol. Wish me luck. I might try to pull it out of the cab before moving on
