Title: Re: T-Mold Post by: VertexGuy on September 18, 2014, 12:16:36 am places like T molding.com sell the bit you need..
not sayin you need to buy the bit from them.. but you get an up close look and what you need to buy as far as a t molding bit goes. Last time I used that bit, I went to the guy that john got his dragons lair from and borrowed his for my MK2 control panel replacement. Title: Re: T-Mold Post by: lordkahless214 on September 18, 2014, 12:38:10 pm the cheapest place I have found to buy the T molding bit is from MLCS woodworking http://www.mlcswoodworking.com/ (http://www.mlcswoodworking.com/) they sell the cutter, bearing and arbor together as a set for only $16.00 Free shipping.
Every other place wanted double that amount... Title: Re: T-Mold Post by: EDD on September 19, 2014, 09:37:01 am http://www.mlcswoodworking.com/shopsite_sc/store/html/smarthtml/pages/bt_slot.html (http://www.mlcswoodworking.com/shopsite_sc/store/html/smarthtml/pages/bt_slot.html)
which one is it? Title: Re: T-Mold Post by: lordkahless214 on September 19, 2014, 09:51:47 pm For the most common t molding, you will need the 1/16th cutter width, which diameter you need depends on the the shank size they are either 1/4" or 1/2"
In my case, I bought kit #5341, a 1/4" bit to fit my router, which is this one http://www.ebay.com/itm/331251550793 (http://www.ebay.com/itm/331251550793) works a treat. |
