Post by: OriginalTHK on August 15, 2014, 10:34:38 am Ok so I am trying to get a multimeter because I know that will probably help me but can someone tell me if these things are fried or what? I have attached the pics below of my galaga bootleg that I am trying to fix. Thanks

Transistor? Post by: iankellogg on August 15, 2014, 12:07:01 pm Those are capacitors. THe big guy is probably fine and not worth looking at. The smaller one is damaged and should be replaced. probably a 103 or 102 ceramic disk. Fixing bootlegs is not all that much fun.

Also is this what I need? http://www.ebay.com/itm/DISC-CAPACITORS-1-50V-104Z-20-PER-PACK-/321320999257?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4ad0395959 Title: Re: Bad Capacitor? Transistor? Post by: iankellogg on August 15, 2014, 12:14:09 pm yeah thats the one you need. price seems a little nuts but that would get it to you quickly. I doubt this will fix anything for you though.

Title: Re: Bad Capacitor? Transistor? Post by: OriginalTHK on August 16, 2014, 09:00:13 am well i put in a bid for the board and it didnt have anybody else bidding, then magically somebody outbid me. I hate auctions and preferably use the buyitnow when available. Still 3days left on it. :'( Title: Re: Bad Capacitor? Transistor?
