Title: RGB Connector
Post by: lesoleil70 on August 10, 2014, 02:07:09 pm
Hi,
Can someone help me out with the correct name for this connector, looking to get hold of the male side of this, the type you see on monitor chassis.

I really have no idea what the spacing is on the connector. I will try to find out as soon as i can.

I wrote a whole blog post about this "asian" style video connector that is standard on jamma harnesses.

The short answer is it's a JST 5P-SVF-V that you can buy from JST here -- http://www.jst-mfg.com/product/detail_e.php?series=258 -- or you can buy a parted out Jamma harness from someone if you just want the connector to plug into a chassis.

Now that's what I call a full and informed answer, which is very much appreciated TimeRunner - nice one!

Here's a typical chassis board connection for this plug on the right. Ignore the smaller Atari RGB plug on the left (I was whining on Instagram when I posted this).
