Title: Ice Cold Beer Taito 1983 Power Supply Post by: benimhoff on August 09, 2014, 03:19:57 pm Does anyone have or know of where to get an original power supply.
An Zeke's Peak could work also? An Zeke's Peak could work also? Are you missing your power supply? What's happening? I don't recall what the PS looks like. Linear? Have you looked up the pinout? Possible to install a switcher? Title: Re: Ice Cold Beer Taito 1983 Power Supply Post by: benimhoff on August 10, 2014, 08:31:37 am I am missing the pcb assembly unreg. part #08-00128001. I could email you the pics and manual. thanks[][/]

Title: Re: Ice Cold Beer Taito 1983 Power Supply Post by: iankellogg on August 25, 2014, 07:30:48 am I did some research into this for another forum member and all that PCB has on it is a few fuses and 2 bridge rectifiers. IF you look into the manual you will see the schematic for it and could probably hand wire something up as a replacement.

I do but I never had to mess with the power supply. I am not familiar with it. Title: Re: Ice Cold Beer Taito 1983 Power Supply Post by: computerfixerguy on August 25, 2014, 08:09:41 pm You could send an email to Todd Tuckey over at tntamusements.com. He sells old working power supplies out of all the games he sells and lets the original power supplies go for cheap. If he didn't have one, you could ask him to sell you whatever replacement they use.

Thanks for the info.Title: Re: Ice Cold Beer Taito 1983 Power Supply Post by: John's Arcade on August 26, 2014, 12:17:19 am The manual says the power supply creates 12,9,6, and 25V
It's not gonna be very trivial to wire up a switcher with those odd voltages. Make a WTB post on KLOV. Title: Re: Ice Cold Beer Taito 1983 Power Supply Post by: benimhoff on August 26, 2014, 06:44:53 am You think your boy Andy could look at the schematics and the unreg. part that holds the 4 fuses and build that part itself? I'll send booze and strippers to help motivate him.
Title: Re: Ice Cold Beer Taito 1983 Power Supply Post by: iankellogg on August 26, 2014, 07:10:11 am I am pretty sure you can't use a switcher for the ICB because it uses the AC and unregulated DC everywhere.
Page 35 of the manual show the schematic for the unreg board. It just has F1, F2,F3,F4 and two bridge rectifiers. This would be pretty easy to hand wire. This board would also be trivial to reproduce if I can get a measurement of the board size. Title: Re: Ice Cold Beer Taito 1983 Power Supply Post by: benimhoff on August 27, 2014, 12:34:01 am i will get that measurement tomorrow. i tried to post my pic but it seems to just show the pic. and not allow me to add anything else or do anything with the posting.
Title: Re: Ice Cold Beer Taito 1983 Power Supply Post by: dewisp02 on September 15, 2014, 01:08:11 pm I have the service manual for ICB, but the schematic does not tell the specs of the bridge rectifiers on the ps. Does anyone know what they are supposed to be. Trying to restore one saved from a vending company that went out of business in the late 80s / early 90s. Also curious if anyone can point me to someone that sells the hosing. Any help would be appreciated. :-)

You could use a switcher if you can find one that has 24V THe diode bridges are 2A modules as per manual. Title: Re: Ice Cold Beer Taito 1983 Power Supply Post by: benimhoff on September 17, 2014, 12:06:32 am would this one work?
