Title: Is it worth doing this to a Commando Cabinets? Post by: Blimpcity on August 01, 2014, 02:08:30 pm I have a few questions. I picked up a cheap working Commando cabinet. Im not a big fan of Commando, but like a lot of vertical monitor games. Im not sure if this is worth doing or how much work it would take, but how hard would it be to install a 60-1 vertical monitor board in it, and a way to flip back to Commando. Im new to arcade machines but Commando isnt Jamma if Im correct. Any help would be great.
Thanks Title: Re: Is it worth doing this to a Commando Cabinets? Post by: John's Arcade on August 01, 2014, 02:57:31 pm I have a few questions. I picked up a cheap working Commando cabinet. Double check. If so, you can just plug the 60 in 1 into the jamma plug and thats it. Title: Re: Is it worth doing this to a Commando Cabinets? Im a newbie! lol Title: Re: Is it worth doing this to a Commando Cabinets? Im a newbie! lol So, that connector on the top of the "adapter" I think is JAMMA. You're gonna have to doublecheck using this as cross reference: (http://www.arcadetreasure.com/techinfo/jamma_pinout.gif) It looks like it's following it with the black wire, three reds, and then an orange from the one end. Title: Re: Is it worth doing this to a Commando Cabinets? Post by: alby13 on August 02, 2014, 02:58:39 am well it's probably not worth spending the extra money to have a "2 slot jamma board switcher" to go between the two different game boards by pushing buttons or a switch.
but that's up to you. Title: Re: Is it worth doing this to a Commando Cabinets? Post by: yks104 on August 04, 2014, 05:05:21 am I always liked Commando, not a lot of love for it from others though!
Title: Re: Is it worth doing this to a Commando Cabinets? Post by: Blimpcity on September 11, 2014, 08:16:52 am Well Commando is not a Jamma connector, but I successfully spliced in a Jamma connector. So now it plays Commando and a iCade 60-in-1.

the original board would work [since its jamma]. Title: Re: Is it worth doing this to a Commando Cabinets? Post by: Blimpcity on September 15, 2014, 07:31:18 am No my Commando wasnt a Jamma it has a 44 pin connector.

Commando from data east is NOT standard jamma! I bought a cheap spare board that was listed as broken jamma commando Board works great with no repairs !! It's NOT JAMMA! Best $10 free shipping I ever spent! Title: Re: Is it worth doing this to a Commando Cabinets? Post by: kkcloak on September 18, 2014, 07:53:32 pm if you use the capcom classic to jamma adapter it will be.
