Title: Donkey Kong TKG3 06 Sou four board - Video Problems
Post by: yves on July 31, 2014, 08:19:29 am
Hej community.

We have a Donkey Kong Arcade Machine at the office and we love that machine.
Unfortunately for quite some time we're having a strange Video Problem as you can see in the video: http://youtu.be/n3yND6OXmZY

We even bought a new board but the problem still exists. The good thing is, now we know it wasn't the board. The bad thing is, we really don't know what the problem could be.

I hope somebody can help me with this issue.

Thanks and regards
yves

That's an odd one.

In the middle of the 20EZ chassis there is a horizontal frequency pot. Try turning that. It's in a tight spot. CAREFUL!

Hey John.

Thanks for your fast answer.
I tried to adjust the frequency but unfortunately it's not getting better.

Could the problem maybe some bad capacitors or resistors on the 20EZ?

If the chassis is 100% original I would always start with a cap kit just to rule that out.

Power levels? It's cycling ...
