Title: bootleg game buying help Post by: RainStorm on July 24, 2014, 04:47:50 pm well its like this I was looking into buying an arcade machine to start my collection and on craigslist I find one for cheap and its looks like a classic pacman and the owner says the game is called ladybug, a pacman knockoff right? because its also says elcon industries on it and they sold copyrighted games. could I get it and turn it into pacman? have any of you owned one of these?

My opinion is its 150.00 and it's interesting. Id buy it and restore it as a lady bug if thats what the cabinet is now. I don't think your getting hurt any however you decide to tackle it. my advice is to get any pac-man type cab that you like and go from there. the other way you could go is a Jamma (universal) to pac-man converter: http://www.jammaboards.com/store/jamma-pcb-to-pacman-ms-pacman-cabinet-adapter-jb-jam2pac.html so that means any Jamma cabinet could be used for pacman. good luck and keep us updated! That one is a conversion.
