Title: Need help with some PCB parts Post by: lacerta1974 on May 26, 2014, 09:11:16 pm I'm working on a bally-midway 10 pin deluxe bowling arcade. I'm trying to identify some parts on what is referred to as the "Back Panel" board. The boards on this game are very similar to that of professor pacman and I was able to find the schematics for this board online.
http://www.arcade-museum.com/manuals-videogames/P/ProfPac.pdf I think the capacitors and ferrite beads on this board could use replacing. You can see in the pics below that they don't look too hot. But I have a couple of questions 1st...the capacitors are listed as 0.1MFD +80-20%...what voltages should I be looking for on these and I'm not really sure how to refer to these capacitors. 2nd...I have no idea what the ferrite beads are for or what I should be looking for when I buy some replacements. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. But if you are interested in doing it. I would look for any broken capacitors and not replace any that are intact. Those ceramic capacitors don't really have life issues in most cases. The ferrite beads you will certainly not have to replace. Again if you want to look for cracked beads.
The caps should be 100nF maybe 25 or 50v ceramic axials. Ether use disk or axials. What you should look at doing is cleaning or replacing those edge sockets as those will certainly be dirty and possibly damaged. |
