Title: Popeye monitor repair. Booya Post by: computerfixerguy on May 15, 2014, 10:41:05 pm I want to preface all this by saying thanks guys. Back in December I was sick as a dog over my 2 week Christmas break. Laying here on the couch welcoming death I found John's channel. Reasons I can't explain compelled me to marathon John's videos for about 18 hours a day for 8 days straight. I caught the bug and wanted to fool with arcade machines as a hobby. However I knew nothing about them, how they worked, didn't know how to solder, none of that stuff. So I learned. And you guys helped. Thank you.
I know it's not that big of a deal to cap a monitor, you guys do it all the time. But I just got up the learning curve of knowing nothing about this stuff in December to finishing recapping my first monitor on my own on May 15th. Here are a couple quick before and after pictures.
